Hunter Gathered was recorded using a Baleani audiosonic 237s organ, an Acetone Phenix, a Casiotone MT-65, a Hammond Piper II, an acoustic guitar, a broken electric guitar, a double bass called Henry, a toy glockenspiel, drums, assorted percussion, a soft drink can, tissue paper and various metal trinkets that made good aural sense.
All songs on Hunter Gathered are written by Sez Wilks except The Rescuing (co-written by Sez Wilks and Ben Smith). All songs on Hunter Gathered are performed by Sez Wilks, with the exception of drums in Hobyah, acoustic guitar in Gumtree, drums and muted guitar in The Rescuing and occasional doubled percussion played by Joe Hammond.
